Matangi is goddess of the mind and intellect

Who, overflowing with compassion at the plight of humanity, provides succor.Tripura Sundari’s name means beauty unparalleled in the three worlds (earth, heaven, netherworld). In her popular depictions, she laughs at the absurdity in the drama of creation. The goddess’ anger is a purifying fire that is aimed at the ego itself — all impurities are reduced to ash, leaving a purified consciousness behind. In the way Kali represents time, Bhuvaneshwari represents space. She nourishes us, fulfils our material needs, thereby enabling a fuller, richer experience of being human. Realising the agony of endless birth and death, she encourages a movement towards spiritual enlightenment. In a way, she represents the beginning of worship — when our worldly needs are met, we can focus our energies on the inner journey. She is the matrix and the field in which everything exists. Her aid is not just material, but spiritual. She holds her own severed head in her hand — the emblem of transcending the body, its ego, and its karmic burdens. Not the beauty of face or form, but the beauty of a flawless perception of truth. She reveals the opposite of any circumstance — defeat in victory, sadness inherent in laughter — thereby giving us courtesy wholesale the facility of becoming aware of reality as a whole and not just in parts.  With Chhinamasta, we enter the realm of the Devi’s active doership. Her special power is obscuration; dhuma means smoke.Dhumawati is the “grandmother goddess” — representing the feminine wisdom of age. Kali is divine mother, also the one who slays. The image is ghastly but the seeker must find its deeper meaning — the agency of the Goddess to enable conscious knowing that destroys ignorance. By obscuring the known, she opens up possibilities for delving into that which lies hidden and unknown — the innermost self.Bhuvaneshwari is goddess/ruler of the created world where all beings exist. In her, we are born, grow and perish.Matangi is goddess of the mind and intellect. She wears a skirt made of human limbs, to denote the ultimate fate of human beings. She focuses the mind internally, on the highest knowledge that can be gained out of any intellectual inquiry — the knowledge of Self and Reality, atman and Brahman. Hers is the light of consciousness that lights up the three worlds.Bhairavi is a wrathful manifestation, but it is not the anger of the ego.Who, or what, are the Dasamahavidya — 10 forms of the Goddess — venerated during the nine sacred nights of the Navaratri festival?Kali is the mistress of time, the mover of things, the primordial night in which creation is birthed.Tara is the one who saves.    Bagalamukhi represents the power of the word. In this way, she removes duality inherent in our perception of the world, and focuses us on the whole..Kamala, the lotus-faced one, is the goddess of abundance. Even so, her expression is beatific — she is the true knower of things.

He mentioned that necessary assistance should be extended

“We have identified some areas along the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan, Gujarat and the Northeast where putting up physical barriers is extremely difficult due to the terrain. So we will be going in for greater use of technology and have already prepared a road map for such locations,” a senior ministry official said.New Delhi: Home minister Rajnath Singh has directed all border guarding agencies to complete all ongoing projects on priority and in a time-bound manner. Ministry sources said the home minister stressed on the need to fast-track all projects related to borders security and better coordination among the concerned agencies. The home minister, along with the minister of state Kiren Rijiju, home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and other senior ministry officials, on Monday reviewed security and ongoing projects in the border areas.Security agencies are planning to install high-tech equipment like powerful resolution cameras, radars, unattended ground sensors, optical fibres, infrared sensors, aerostats and hand-held thermal imagers where physical barriers cannot be installed due to the terrain.. He mentioned that necessary assistance should be extended to them in the field of education, health and other basic necessities. The minister also stressed on the need for greater technological solutions wherever physical battery operated dome light barriers were not possible. Mr Singh expressed his concern about the difficulties being experienced by the residents of border areas.During the meeting, various issues, like status of border roads, flood lights, border outposts and integrated check posts, along international borders were reviewed, Sources said the meeting also discussed all major impediments hampering border infrastructure development.

He said he had been told to stay inside

"Abdul Hamid, 51, lives on the 16th floor lost everything he owned but counted himself lucky to be alive. "I slammed the window shut and got out. Im meant to be flying to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj. I run out into the hallway, close the door behind me and ran for where I thought the fire exit was.". My passport was in there its gone." After the family escaped, she called her brother, who lives on the 21st floor, to see if he was all right. One said a baby was dropped from the ninth or 10th floor, another that she saw a five-year-old boy dropped from a fifth or sixth floor window. "I looked out and I could see the fire travelling up the block. There wasnt that many people on the stairs. "He said he had been told to stay inside, stay in one room together and put towels under the door. "I literally just heard screaming, I saw people jumping out of their windows, the building was literally on fire, the ambulances, the police. The last time Hanan Wahabi saw her brother was when he and his family waved to her from their home in an upper floor after she had safely left the blazing building. Then two seconds later my neighbour (on fifth floor) called and said, Get the fuck out the building!" "I went into the bathroom and I got the towel and wet it and wrapped it around my head. It was a matter of life and death I thought, If Im in this for another five seconds, Im a goner. Wahabi, 39, who lives on the ninth floor of the 27-storey Grenfell Tower, said she was awoken by smoke at around 1:00am on Wednesday." Two eyewitnesses told the Press Association news agency they saw children dropped by their parents into the arms of people on the ground. "When you live around here, you know people.""Then on the ground there was a fireman, he touched my leg and pulled me into where the fire stairwell was."I was in bed and I heard people shout fire, fire, I opened my door and loads of smoke came in. It was literally by my window," she said.London: People watched in horror as neighbours found themselves trapped or in desperation leapt to their doom as flames raced through the stricken Grenfell Tower. The last time I spoke to his wife, he was on the phone to the fire brigade. Amanda Fernandez, 31, was evacuated from a different part of the housing estate."The fire hadnt reached the top of the block at that point," Wahabi said."I could see there was ash coming through the window in the living room, which was partially open," she told, sitting with her husband and son 16, and daughter 8, outside a local community centre.Another survivor at the community centre, wearing shorts, a T-shirts and trainers and with a blanket draped around his shoulders, said he saved his own life with just moments to spare. "Loads of people havent got out of the building. Then I called him and he said there was too much smoke. Ive not heard from them since, the phone is not going through, the landline isnt going through. "I have nothing."The last time I saw him they were waving out the window, his wife and children. I just ran down the stairs. Now Im homeless. You couldnt see anything. He said he was going to come. Khadejah Miller, who was evacuated from her home nearby, recounted a night of horor. And to stand helpless watching the fire and counting the floors, and thinking, Who lives on that floor? Who lives on that one? Most of the people I know lived higher than the 10th floor. It was horrendous," she said. That led license plate light strip was about 2:00am." Others reported seeing mobile phone lights and white cloths, and hearing screams for help from the windows, as the flame rose through the building at astonishing speed. "My neighbours smoke alarm went off and I thought he might have done some cooking," he said, giving only his first name of Eddie, 55. I told him to leave. I didnt find it.
